Rachel Qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 2006 and initially worked as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, the speciality she achieved her Master’s degree in. She has since further specialised in Pelvic Health and took up post in Bradford in 2014. Rachel is the clinical lead for the Pelvic Health Team. Whilst seeing her own caseload she also supports both the staff in her team and across the locality. Working as part of the Multidisciplinary Team is vital in Rachel’s eyes, hence close links have been forged with the consultants who treat Urogynaecological, Gynaecological, Obstetric, Colorectal, Urological, Oncological, Pain, Dermatological and Fertility patients. More recently Rachel has become an independent prescriber, meaning that prescriptions which may help manage pelvic dysfunction can be given at a physiotherapy appointment, hopefully streamlining care further.

One of Rachel’s passions is encouraging other physiotherapists to specialise in this essential field of physiotherapy. Rachel volunteers for the national specialist interest group of Pelvic, Obstetric & Gynaecological Physiotherapists (POGP) and teaches nationally in Men’s Health Physiotherapy.

Outside of the work place Rachel has a honed skill at fund raising and has worked internationally in Sri Lanka, Uganda, Pakistan & India with a burns and plastics charity. She also loves a dog walk in Yorkshire!
