I graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 2004 with BSc Hons Physiotherapy and then spent three years as a physiotherapist within the NHS before working for a small physiotherapy company in the ski resort of Val d’Isère in France treating injured skiers and snowboarders. On my return I started working for Nuffield Health treating musculoskeletal (MSK) patients, teaching Pilates and also spending time treating patients on the ward.
I went on to specialise in treating ante- and post-natal women who have pregnancy-related MSK issues or who want help recovering and strengthening after pregnancy and birth. I now also specialise in pelvic (women’s) health, treating patients with a range of conditions including bladder or bowel problems, incontinence, pelvic pain and problems related to childbirth or following gynae surgery. My background in MSK means I can assess and treat cases that are more complex within pelvic health.
As well as being a qualified Pilates instructor, I have also completed additional training and have experience in ante- and post-natal Pilates. I am qualified in the use of acupuncture as a treatment modality and have a wealth of experience in all areas of MSK physiotherapy, Pilates and pelvic health physiotherapy.
